Pre-Service Primary Teachers’ Beliefs, Practices, and Needs Regarding the Teaching of a Second Language Through Book Creator

Several studies have investigated the use of Digital Storytelling to foster Second Language Acquisition at primary school level from pre-service teachers’ perspectives. However, research regarding employ Book Creator, a digital book-making tool, enhance students’ language, digital, and intercultural competences according student perceptions is still lacking. This article presents case study carried out with 35 teachers who participated in workshop on teaching Italian as through during single cycle degree programme Primary Teacher Education, an university. The aimed exploring beliefs, practices, needs Creator train pupils’ skills within multilingual multicultural school. Student were asked experiment reflect about its didactic potentialities, both Data collected questionnaire, multimodal artifacts materials. Results show efficacy learning tool enhancing language competences, literacies, awareness, well interest discovering further resources Storytelling.
